Mild autumn air mass to bring temperature drop across Jordan
Forecasting service ArabiaWeather said “atmospheric fluctuations” are expected to continue in Jordan in the coming days following a recent rise in temperatures. Starting Monday, temperatures are forecasted to drop again.
Initially, on Sunday, temperatures will remain 4-6°C higher than usual for this time of year, bringing relatively hot weather across most regions and moderate conditions in the mountainous areas.
Southeastern winds will blow at moderate speeds, occasionally picking up in the eastern desert, potentially causing localized dust storms.
By late night and early morning, cooler weather will prevail, especially over higher elevations, necessitating warmer clothing. There is also a chance of fog forming in the early hours, particularly over southern mountain areas.
Cooler Air Mass to Impact Jordan
Meteorologists predict a mild autumn air mass will affect the kingdom starting Monday. Daytime temperatures are expected to drop back to or slightly below seasonal averages, with generally pleasant weather and scattered low clouds appearing in different regions.
Colder Nights Ahead
Cooler nighttime temperatures will continue through mid-week, especially in the mountains, urging the public to dress accordingly due to the sharp temperature contrasts between day and night to avoid seasonal illnesses.
