Safadi conducts solidarity visit to Lebanon

Under the direction of His Majesty King Abdullah II, Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi commenced a solidarity visit to Lebanon on Monday.

During this visit, Safadi is set to meet with Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati, Speaker of the Parliament Nabih Berri, and Lebanese Army Chief General Joseph Aoun to discuss efforts to halt the Israeli Occupation aggression against Lebanon and explore ways to support the country in its response.

Safadi arrived in Beirut aboard a Jordanian Armed Forces - Arab Army (JAF) plane carrying 13 tons of food, relief supplies, medicines, and medical equipment. This marks the seventh aid shipment from Jordan to Lebanon, following King Abdullah II's directives on Sept. 18, 2024.

During his visit, Safadi reiterated Jordan's unwavering support for Lebanon, emphasizing its security, stability, and the well-being of its citizens. He condemned the Israeli Occupation's aggression and voiced support for initiatives aimed at rebuilding Lebanon's national institutions.

Additionally, Safadi stressed the urgent need for the international community to act promptly to end the aggression against Lebanon and to ensure the full implementation of United Nations Security Council Resolution 1701.
