UAE has pledged significant financial aid to Lebanon and Gaza amidst the ongoing Israeli Occupation offensive.

Sultan Al Shamsi, UAE's Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for International Development and Organizations, revealed the scope of the aid and future plans to continue supporting Beirut and Gaza during an interview with Roya.

Shamsi announced that the UAE has allocated USD 100 million to support Lebanon, under the directive of UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Additionally, USD 30 million has been earmarked to assist displaced individuals who fled from Lebanon to Syria due to the ongoing aggression.

Since the start of the aggression, the UAE has sent several planes carrying hundreds of tons of medical, relief, and humanitarian aid, with coordination efforts underway with the United Nations and international organizations to ensure the assistance reaches those most in need.

The UAE's support will continue, including a potential public fundraising campaign through humanitarian organizations in the UAE to sustain the aid airlift to Lebanon. Plans are also being discussed to explore sea routes for delivering aid more efficiently to avoid further humanitarian crises in the country.

As for Gaza, Shamsi emphasized that the region still faces immense challenges, and the UAE remains committed to providing aid. He highlighted earlier coordination with Jordan for air drops of supplies and ongoing cooperation to deliver assistance to the area.

Shamsi called for a collective international effort to meet the needs of displaced people, particularly those who have fled to Syria, urging all countries and organizations to step up their support.
