Liam Payne laid to rest: former bandmates, family, friends say goodbye

On Wednesday, members of the hit boy band One Direction came together to pay their respects at the funeral of their bandmate, Liam Payne, who tragically passed away at the age of 31.

Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan, and Louis Tomlinson were among the mourners who gathered alongside Payne's family and close friends for a private ceremony held at a church in Amersham, Buckinghamshire, located northwest of London.

The service followed the devastating news of Payne’s death, which occurred after a fall from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires. The shocking incident sparked a wave of grief from fans around the world, who mourned the loss of the beloved singer.

Payne's coffin was brought to the church in a solemn procession, resting on a white carriage drawn by two white horses. The carriage was decorated with floral tributes, including heartfelt messages spelling out "Son" and "Daddy."

Simon Cowell, the music mogul who helped shape the band’s career, was also photographed arriving at the church to join the mourners.

Payne’s ex-partner, singer Cheryl, who shares a seven-year-old son with him, attended the service as well.

Payne's girlfriend, Kate Cassidy, who was with him in Buenos Aires at the time of his death, attended her late boyfriend's funeral.

Talk show host James Corden, who is close friends with the boyband members, was also seen in attendance.
