Jordan will experience the impact of a cold air mass arriving from the eastern Mediterranean basin, starting Thursday evening. This shift will bring a significant drop in temperatures, aligning them with seasonal averages – per ArabiaWeather’s forecasts.

Temperature drop expected Thursday

Thursday's temperatures are expected to drop notably, creating a thermal difference of approximately 5°C compared to Wednesday. In Amman, the daytime high will hover around 13°C.

The weather will be relatively cold to chilly across most regions during the day, with scattered clouds, particularly over the Badia areas. Winds will be light and variable but may shift to moderate southeasterly over the Badia.

Intensified chill Thursday night into Friday

By Thursday night and into Friday morning, the cold front will deepen its effect. Nighttime lows will range from 4°C to 6°C in Amman, with temperatures nearing freezing in the Badia and the Sharah mountain range peaks.

Friday

The cold front's impact will intensify on Friday, pushing temperatures down further to around 9°C in Amman, marking a chillier-than-usual day compared to seasonal norms.

Cold conditions will prevail across the kingdom, with moderate southwesterly winds occasionally intensifying, amplifying the sensation of cold.

Freezing nights ahead

Friday night into Saturday will bring freezing conditions to many regions, with subzero temperatures expected in the Badia and on the Sharah mountain peaks.
