Jordan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates strongly condemned the Israeli Occupation Forces' burning of Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza and forcing patients and medical staff to evacuate, calling it a blatant violation of international law and humanitarian law.

The ministry described the attack as a heinous war crime added to Israeli Occupation's ongoing crimes in the Gaza Strip, holding 'Israel' responsible for the safety of civilians and medical teams working in the hospital.

In a statement, the ministry's spokesperson, Ambassador Dr. Sufian al-Qudah, reiterated Jordan's absolute rejection and condemnation of the systematic targeting of medical facilities and staff, which constitutes a breach of international law, particularly the 1949 Geneva Convention on the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War. The spokesperson also condemned the serious destruction of essential infrastructure needed for the survival of residents in northern Gaza.

Ambassador al-Qudah called on the international community, especially the United Nations Security Council, to uphold its legal and moral responsibilities by demanding 'Israel' cease its aggression against Gaza, stop targeting civilians, and end the unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe caused by the assault.

He urged for the necessary protection of the Palestinian people, accountability for the perpetrators of these crimes, and the safeguarding of humanitarian and health facilities, shelters, and other vital infrastructure from ongoing 'Israeli' violations of international law.
