Iran vows retaliation against 'Israeli' strikes
Iran’s Defense Minister stated that 'Israel' has failed to weaken Iran’s defensive and offensive capabilities, vowing a definite response to recent attacks.
He added that Iran has withdrawn from Syria, dismissing accusations of interference as fears over the “resistance front.”
Meanwhile, Syria’s new Foreign Minister issued a sharp warning to Iran, urging it to avoid destabilizing Syria. This marked his first statement after joining the transitional government following the fall of former President Bashar al-Assad’s regime.
In a post on X, Minister Al-Shaibani said, “Iran must respect Syria’s sovereignty and stability. We warn against spreading chaos and hold them accountable for recent statements.”
His remarks followed a speech by Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who called on Syrian youth to resist insecurity and confront those behind the unrest.
Khamenei expressed hope that Syria’s struggles would produce “a generation of honorable and strong individuals,” adding that young Syrians have nothing to lose in the current circumstances.
